Pink Floyd isn't the same without you.

I want you to still shine on me Crazy Diamond. The fall is lost. The scent of the faint woodsmoke mixed with the tender bite of chill autumn. It's my birthday tomorrow. And I wish I could have spent it with you. You think your too old for me, and maybe you are. You can provide me with the world, though you've been there and done that quite a while ago. The only thing we couldn't have done was, eh, it doesn't matter. I think of you this past winter and spring. What a beautiful thing. On the damp new ground. Late nights in your second floor river view. God, and you were the only one that understood how that first guitar strum spoke to me with such intensity is made me almost want to cry. You understood the finer things. The weather channel, discovery channel, not having to listen to rap or heavy metal. The unabashed way you finally gave yourself to me. The tender attention that you gave to everything. The chivalry you showed. You fly I'll buy. Serve me Pinot Griglio in a goblet. Talk to me with the intensity that you felt, the passion about the issues. You understood. You knew. Same agreements, same issues. Talk to me about how you felt, what you feel...and while your at it, let's go down to the river. I know you appreciate it. Remember when, I am young, you make me shine like the sun. You still give me shivers. I love you crazy diamond. Bastard. Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there’s a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
You were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardom, blown on the
Steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter, come on you stranger, you legend,
You martyr, and shine!

You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision, rode on the
Steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions, come on you painter, you piper,
You prisoner, and shine!
